Combining heat and power
Biomass incineration projects combined with biomass drying are typical projects in which our ORCs are being used. The heat coming from the boiler produces green electricity while the remaining low temperature cooling fluid is used to dry biomass (wood chips, grass, …) or to heat other facilities. In this configuration, the ORC acts as a combined heat and power unit where all heat delivered to the machine is recovered.
ORC with High ROI
Because all the heat from the boiler is used in the heating application and the installation generates its own electricity, the return on investment of this solution is excellent. As a result, the site becomes more self-sufficient for its energy supply. If waste (manure, wood or other biomass) from the site is used to feed the boiler, you can achieve an even higher ROI.
